Are you planning to buy the tata new punch EV, it may be worth holding on for a few more hours. The electric micro-SUV is set to receive its first major update today, bringing subtle design revisions, feature upgrades and the possibility of a larger battery pack to Tata Motors' most accessible EV.
Tata Motors has already revealed the exterior of the updated Punch EV, and undisguised sightings have given away most of the details ahead of launch.
Up front, the facelift adopts a cleaner, more contemporary design. The earlier black strip that connected the headlamps has been removed, resulting in a less cluttered look. The closed-off grille is now more neatly integrated, while the slim LED DRLs continue to define the lighting signature. The main headlamp units remain positioned lower in the bumper.
Tata Punch EV facelift 2026 launch: Prices start from Rs 6.49 lakh; check features, specs, and more
A reworked lower bumper with sharper creases, a revised air dam and a new skid plate design give the electric SUV a slightly more assertive stance.
In profile, the silhouette remains unchanged, though new exterior shades including a bright yellow and a copper-brown are expected to broaden the colour palette.
At the rear, the biggest change is the addition of a connected LED light bar stretching across the tailgate, visually aligning it with the updated petrol-powered Punch.
While Tata Motors has not officially showcased the cabin yet, changes inside are expected to be evolutionary rather than radical.
The dashboard layout is likely to remain familiar, but higher variants could get a larger 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with updated software, potentially borrowed from Tata's larger EVs.
Existing features such as the 10.25-inch digital driver's display, ventilated front seats, wireless charging, ambient lighting, connected car technology and a 360-degree camera are expected to continue. Depending on the final variant mix, Tata could also introduce additional safety features.
Mechanically, the facelift is expected to retain the current battery options:
However, Tata has hinted at the possibility of introducing a higher-capacity battery option. If confirmed, this could further enhance the Punch EV's appeal, especially for buyers seeking more real-world range. Minor revisions to the certified range figures may also accompany the update.
The outgoing Punch EV is currently priced between Rs 9.99 lakh and Rs 14.44 lakh (ex-showroom). A modest price hike is likely, particularly for the better-equipped variants and any new battery option.
Once launched, the refreshed Punch EV will continue to rival the Citroen eC3 in the under-Rs 15 lakh EV segment, where value, practicality and usable range remain key buying factors.

| electric bike |
The shift toward electric vehicles is accelerating. After the rise of EV cars and scooters, electric bikes are now zooming in popularity. But before you hop on one, it’s important to know that the riding experience is quite different from that of a petrol-powered bike, which can be a plus for some but a drawback for others.
If you’re eyeing an e-bike as your next ride, it’s smart to weigh the pros and cons first. From cost savings and eco-friendliness to charging time and range limits, each factor can make a big difference in your daily rides. So before you plug in and power up, let’s explore what makes electric bikes both a thrilling and thoughtful choice.
Why You’ll Love an Electric Bike
Save on Fuel Costs: No more queuing at petrol pumps or worrying about skyrocketing fuel prices. An electric bike runs on a charge, saving you both time and money.
Smooth and Silent Rides: With no engine or exhaust noise, e-bikes glide effortlessly. They’re perfect for those who enjoy peaceful commutes and a cleaner urban environment.
Low Maintenance, High Efficiency: Forget engine oil, spark plugs, or fuel filters, electric bikes demand minimal upkeep. Fewer moving parts mean fewer breakdowns and lower maintenance costs.
Instant Power at Your Fingertips: E-bikes deliver instant torque the moment you twist the throttle. That means quicker acceleration and a more responsive ride, ideal for city traffic.
Where Electric Bikes Fall Short
Higher Upfront Cost: Electric bikes can cost 20–30% more than petrol bikes, making them a pricey investment for budget-conscious buyers.
Lower Resale Value: Over time, the battery, the heart of an e-bike, tends to degrade, affecting resale prices. Replacing it isn’t cheap either.
Limited Range: Most electric bikes offer less than 200 km on a full charge, which can be restrictive for long-distance riders used to petrol convenience.
Longer Charging Time: Unlike refuelling a petrol bike in minutes, charging an e-bike can take half an hour or more, which isn’t ideal when you’re in a rush.
Sparse Charging Stations: While EV infrastructure is growing, many cities still lack enough charging points.
Electric bikes are a glimpse into the future, economical in the long run, environment-friendly, and easy to ride. But for now, the higher cost, limited range, and charging issues keep them from becoming everyone’s first choice. Still, as infrastructure and technology evolve, the electric revolution on two wheels may soon become unstoppable.
The electric vehicle market is expanding rapidly, and among the new brands making a strong impression is VinFast. The company continues its journey of global expansion with the introduction of the VinFast V7 — a stylish, feature-rich electric SUV designed for the future. The V7 stands out for its fresh design language, advanced technology, and focus on comfort and efficiency, making it an attractive choice for the modern electric car buyer.
From the first glance, the VinFast V7 makes a bold statement with its sleek and futuristic design. The exterior features sharp LED headlights, a clean aerodynamic shape, and a signature V-shaped front identity that reflects the company’s commitment to innovation. The SUV has a strong stance, yet its design remains elegant rather than aggressive. Smooth curves and well-balanced dimensions help improve air resistance, resulting in higher range efficiency.
Inside the cabin, the VinFast V7 focuses on a premium and connected experience. The interior is spacious, offering ample headroom and legroom for passengers. High-quality materials, soft-touch surfaces, and ambient lighting enhance the comfort level. At the center of the dashboard is a large touchscreen interface that controls most vehicle functions including navigation, media, and climate control. The infotainment system supports smooth connectivity with smartphones, voice commands, and multiple user profiles, making it suitable for family use.
Performance is another highlight of the VinFast V7. Depending on the configuration, the SUV is expected to offer a powerful dual- or single-motor setup with smooth acceleration and refined driving dynamics. The electric powertrain ensures a quiet and vibration-free ride, while regenerative braking technology helps recharge the battery during driving. With an impressive estimated driving range suitable for both city commute and long-distance travel, the V7 aims to eliminate range anxiety for everyday users.
Safety is a top priority for VinFast, and the V7 showcases this with a wide range of advanced safety and driver assistance features. These may include adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, lane keep assist, blind spot monitoring, and a 360-degree camera system. The vehicle’s structure is designed with high-strength materials to improve crash protection, while AI-enhanced sensors assist the driver in various road conditions.
In terms of value, the VinFast V7 positions itself as a competitive option in the growing EV market. It offers many high-end features usually seen in premium electric SUVs but aims to keep pricing attractive for a broader audience. This balance of affordability, innovation, and technology gives the V7 a distinct advantage in the competitive electric vehicle segment.
Overall, the VinFast V7 represents a promising step forward for the brand. With its futuristic design, smart technology, solid performance, and focus on safety, it is expected to appeal to buyers looking for a modern electric SUV that is both practical and exciting. As the world continues moving toward greener mobility, vehicles like the VinFast V7 help shape the future of clean and intelligent transportation.
